Parent Ed Night on Emotional Intelligence (Part 1)

On October 8th, the Walter Hays and Addison PTAs co-sponsored a parent education night on Emotional Intelligence. This was the first of a two part series, with the second talk coming on October 22nd.

Below are copies of the presentation materials from the first talk (in translation as well):
Part 1 Outline and Book List

This series aims to provide parents with important information about the role emotions play in the integration of the brain and body.
We know that when our children experience big feelings, it can be challenging for us. We often ignore, silence or punish our children during their emotional moments.

The speaker, Jaclyn Long, is a Certified Parent Educator, graduated from Princeton University, and holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. She serves as Founder and Director of Mind Body Moms as well as Mindful Child & Family Therapy.
