Walter Hays Online eDirectory has partnered with Fourleaf!
We are excited to announce a new partnership with Fourleaf to provide a convenient, user-friendly online directory experience for our families and staff. The data in our eDirectory will come directly from the Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD) registration system Infinite Campus.
With Fourleaf, our new eDirectory will allow users to edit their own information and search by student name, parent name, grade, room and teacher on their computer, iPhone or Android smartphone. Access our school’s directory information from any device, anytime, anywhere and, with a tap of your finger, you can call, text or even get directions!
The eDirectory is available to families who have chosen to “opt-in for Directory” in Infinite Campus.
If you are not in the eDirectory and would like to opt-in to the eDirectory and paper directory go to FourLeaf as well and follow the instructions.
If your e-mail address or phone numbers need to updated you may login to Infinite Campus from mid-September through mid-April and make the updates online. If your household address needs to be updated that requires a visit to the district office as your address determines PAUSD eligibility and school assignment. Updates that have been made in Infinite Campus will be applied to the school directory on the next update cycle which is monthly during the academic year. Updates to the eDirectory can be made directly but they should be made first to PAUSD through Infinite Campus or they may be overwritten on the next data update cycle.
Please note: The Walter Hays Elementary School directory is made available only to parents, guardians and staff of Walter Hays Elementary School. All online access to the directory is password protected.

eDirectory Frequently Asked Questions
What is eDirectory? eDirectory is the PTA’s online tool for helping members of the Walter Hays Community find each other. It is also the data source for the printed School Directory and classroom rosters. It is the place to find the most updated contact information for a family, since people can input new information at any time during the year if they have changes.
How do I know my data is secure? Only registered members of the Walter Hays Community have access to this data. To view it, you must login with a registered email address and a unique password. Please make sure your own password is as strong as possible. If you forget your password, you may use the password recovery link on the login page.
How do I register? Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request a password for your family. Please include the primary email for the family (will be the user id), the first and last name of the parent associated with the email and your student/s’ first and last name and grades. You will receive a registration email for your FAMILY within a few days. Please follow the instructions in that email.
What does registration for your FAMILY mean? eDirectory is organized by Family. Each Family has one unique login (email) and password. The Family record contains space for First and Last Name, address, phone numbers and e-mail address of two parent/guardians, and the names and classrooms of all your children sharing that Family name. The login is the email address of the primary parent/guardian.
I’m registered, what else do I need to do? Update your parent record, making sure that all your parent data and contact information is complete and correct. Then use “Add New Student” to add information for each of your children at Walter Hays.
Do I need to go into eDirectory each year to update my information (even if there are no changes to my contact information)?
Yes, the eDirectory is reset at the beginning of each school year. After student class assignments are released just before school starts, you must confirm/update your parent data (contact information) and update your student records by adding any new students (for instance kinders), remove students who have left the school (for instance this past year’s 5th graders), and changing grade and teacher assignments for each of your children who remain in Walter Hays.
Please do this as soon as possible after assignments are made. Other people will not be able to see your contact information in the Directory until you confirm/update both parent and student records for the new year.
Parents and Teachers use the data for class lists and find it very valuable, especially early in the school year. The paper Directory will be printed using the data entered as of mid-September. If you miss the deadline, you will not be in the paper school directory.
If I change my email address in eDirectory, does it change how I receive Walter Hays communications? No, changing your email information in eDirectory does not directly change your subscriptions to eNews or Wildcat or any of the yahoogroups.
