Fall Fundraiser! October 14 - 21: Shop to Donate Event with DIDDAMS

Who would've thought that shopping for Halloween decorations or a costume could benefit Walter Hays...but it can! We are partnering with DIDDAMS (Mountain View location) who has generously offered to give 20% of all proceeds back to Walter Hays. DIDDAMS carries a huge selection of decorations, costumes, toys, balloons, and party supplies.

All you have to do is shop at the DIDDAMS Mountain View (1952 W. El Camino Real) between Wednesday, October 14 through Wednesday, October 21. At the checkout, tell the cashier that you are with Walter Hays and 20% of the sale will go toward the school.

Help us spread the word and tell your family and friends (see flyer)!

If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jenine Young at
Art Is Multi-dimensional

October Core Value:

We make positive and responsible choices
 that come from within ourselves.
Read with Your Kids about October's Core Value: Integrity

The Core Values Committee would like to invite parents to read books with their child(ren) about October’s Core Value, INTEGRITY. The Palo Alto library and Walter Hays library both have books on this theme. Your child(ren) can check them out at any time. Here are five of the titles:

      1. A Childs Garden: A story of Hope by Michael Foreman
      2. Horton Hears a Who by Dr. Seuss
      3. The Cloud Spinner by Michael Catchpool
      4. The Boy who Cried Wolf by Aesop
      5. A Bike like Sergios by Maribeth Boelts

The Core Values Committee, headed by Lise Latour ( and Zeehan Selha (, invite all members of the Walter Hays community to ask questions about the committee. We welcome all ideas and suggestions you may have about our Core Values Program.
